• Membership is available to women only. Your journal and interests will be scanned to ensure reasonable accord with our Christian worldview. This is our only way of ensuring a safe haven here; there are plenty of other secular breastfeeding communities you can pursue.


• We are free to decline memberships at our discretion for any reason.


• Members are free to post "friends-only" if they would prefer their post to be visible only to members. Many of our members choose this option when posting about their personal nursing experiences, so there is more to this community than meets the eye.

We believe that God, in His infinite wisdom, designed breastfeeding as the perfect source of nutrition and care for our babies. Because of this, we believe mothers should carefully endeavor to successfully breastfeed their babies. Unless a mother is prevented from successfully breastfeeding due to circumstances outside her control she should avoid using manmade substitutes. However, if circumstances necessitate using formula, she can thank God for his gracious provision through formula and trust in His protection. We realize that although breastfeeding is natural, almost all mothers encounter challenges along the way. Hopefully you can come here to find encouragement and support during those challenging times. If you are pregnant or in the first few months of breastfeeding, you might want to read our posts on getting started breastfeeding.


What sets this group apart from non-Christian breastfeeding groups?

1) The primary reason we breastfeed is because we are seeking to follow God's design, and recognize he can do a much better job at creating infant food than us!
2) We are committed to treat each other with love, kindness, and humility...even if we disagree.
3) We welcome without judgment those who did not breastfeed successfully in the past, as long as they are committed to do what is within their ability to try to breastfeed successfully next time.
4) We seek to do all things for the glory of God and in keeping with Holy Scriptures. This includes the nitty-gritty of mothering.
5) We desire to support, advise, and encourage each other so that every mother and child can enjoy the wonderful God-given benefits of breastfeeding.

Guidelines for Posting

1) All posts must reflect our unique Christian perspective. If you have a problem with a person, post, or comment, please think and pray before responding. If/when you respond, do so in a manner fitting with Christ. Rudeness, flaming, character assassinations, bashing, vulgarities and the like are not permitted and will be deleted. This goes for conversations about those outside of the community as well. Habitual demonstrators of such behavior will be banned.
2) Advise given should be consistent with the American Academy of Pediatrics Guidelines for Breastfeeding unless you have trustworthy evidence to back yourself up. We encourage mothers to breastfeed exclusively for around 6 months and to continue breastfeeding for at least the child's first year. Breastfeeding beyond a year is warmly welcomed, but we treat it as a matter of personal preference.
3) You are entitled to your opinion; remember that others are entitled to theirs. Keep a level head about advice given and received: if you ask for advice, be aware that you may get advice that differs from what you want to hear; conversely, if you give advice, please be aware that your advice may not be received the way you want it to.
4) Remember that any medical advice given is not from medical professionals and should be researched or confirmed with your health care provider.
